Global Industry leader is looking to hire a very Sr. Technical Account Manager/Business Development that has proven experience selling to very large Hi-Tech companies.

We seek an experienced sales professional adept at building and managing relationships with c-level executives of highly visible customers in Hi-Tech, working closely with customer teams to drive measurable business outcomes, and generating enthusiasm for the adoption of the most advanced cloud services available. This person will build a strong working relationship with the senior leadership team for executive sponsorship, executive business reviews, and shaping go-to-market opportunities. The right leader is customer-obsessed, innovative, highly confident with hyperscale cloud, and capable of inspiring a diverse group of resources.

They leverage creativity to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to foster alignment and eliminate obstacles. The ideal candidates will have both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as a technical understanding that enables them to easily interact with developers and architects.

Responsibilities: The Account Manager is responsible for teaming with all aspects of the customer’s organization, which includes executives, engineering, business owners, legal, and others. Skills required to build relationships across an account include creative thinking, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, to impact all business groups. The Account Manager is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. This person works with all appropriate resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services), including those that may be geographically distributed, to support customer interests, and will understand how to strongly advocate for their customer and balance that with the business needs.

Additionally, the Technical Account Manager will:

Have the ability to earn trust with and influence CXOs and Top Executive with some of the largest accounts.

Partner closely with Sales Leadership Team, field sales organization and Global Account Teams to develop and execute account strategies and identify opportunities to drive business expansion.

Engage, orchestrate, guide and coach extended account team members

Maintain robust sales pipeline. Develop and manage large, complex opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle.

Develop case studies and other forms of references highlighting activity and workloads

Effectively leverage and communicate with internal executive resources Sales and Service Team leadership to advocate for customer interests.

Possess demonstrated decision-making, creative problem solving and negotiation skill. Resolve deal escalations.

Have experience working with large global organizations as the primary account relationship manager.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, analytical skills and presentation skills.

Have the ability to keep pace in a rapidly changing environment, which requires prioritization, constant learning, juggling multiple responsibilities at once, and taking calculated risks

Basic Qualifications

Several years of enterprise technology sales as the lead account and relationship manager of a large organization (ideally global, ideally High-Tech).

Track record of consistent business and sales performance in complex, direct/field enterprise sales

A bachelor's degree in business or technology or equivalent work experience.

Industry knowledge in either Life Sciences, Consumer Goods Industrial, High-Tech, Manufacturing companies will be preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

15+ years of complex, field sales leadership experience in cloud, enterprise software or IT Services

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills are required.

Experience as the primary account manager of a global federated enterprise working with multiple business units and influencing governance and policy is a plus.

BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)

Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organizations.

Strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas,SaaS,PaaS) would be preferred but not required.

Working knowledge of software development practices and internet-related technologies highly desired but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 - $202,000.00 per year
